Work is on schedule. Ground investigations where the Canoe Club was - and under the bridge at the Berkshire side have been undertaken. Further testing of electrics and water that span the bridge are now underway. Interim repairs to the walkways have just taken place.
Work will then start for jacking rigs to be placed at each end. These will lift the entire structure to enable the bearings to be replaced. This is major job number one. This should be quite a sight, by the way! Displacement monitors are to be installed to assess the movement at each end.
