We know of at least three further applications or potential applications for the site: Thames Property Solutions Ltd submitted an outline application on 30/01/2007 for the Waitrose site and the whole Riley Road area. We have yet to consider the detail of this proposal which does seem to meet some - but not all - of the criticisms attracted by the Waitrose schemes. The company has said is it is keen to find a solution acceptable to the town's inhabitants and business community as well as Waitrose. Details can be seen on the WDC website . An application by Helical Bar Developments (South East) Ltd has been thrown out because it gave inadequate detail of what was proposed. We understand that a third proposal, which was being worked on and had reached an advanced stage (in February 2007), is now in limbo (March 2007).
