We objected to this proposal to erect 50 dwellings on land near to the Crowne Plaza Hotel. This application has now been soundly rejected by the Planning Authority.

This development would have infringed at least 20 of the policies contained in the Local Plan, including those relating to green belt, flood plain, housing, transport, design, landscaping, tree preservation, residential amenity, traffic noise, parking provision and community safety issues - it probably would have been easier to list those policies that were not flouted.

A good result for Marlow, and an indication that the developers do not always win. [September 2005]

Bisham Parish Council was also concerned about this application and supported the Society. [May 2005]
